Boston marathon explosions and dollar exchange rate

Posted on Thursday, 18th April 2013 @ 04:34 AM by Text Size A | A | A

An act of terrorism that took place on April 15 at the finish of the Boston Marathon gave the meaning to the upward movement of the pair EUR/USD and it seems that dollar’s fall against euro will continue for some period of time.

We would like to remind that 2 explosions happened near the finish of the Boston Marathon and in the end 3 people died and 180 were injured. Explosion damaged buildings around – windows were blown out. According to police and doctors reports, bombs could be stuffed with balls from ball bearings.

Counter-terrorism police group who were searching at the place of explosion, found 5 unexploded devices in the area.

Nobody took the responsibility for the act of terrorism. Security is more intense in USA: near the White House in Washington and around the Pentagon in New York City thousands of police officers have been mobilized in order to patrol tourist areas and significant infrastructure facilities, mobile anti-terrorism stations have been set.
