A member of the Al Qaeda terrorist network recognized that a large number of its members in Europe, the Caucasus, Afghanistan and North Africa infiltrated Syria through the Turkish border since the conflict began . SANA news agency today quoted statements of a militant of the terrorist organization who lives in the region of Fateh, Istanbul, and made such confessions to Turkish newspaper Taraf.

Many Chechen and Afghan fighters enter Syrian territory through the border of Turkey for more than two years now, explained the informant, whose name was not mentioned.

The source clarified that Al Qaeda wounded during fighting against Syrian Armed Forces are evacuated to Turk hospitals for treatment, and some return to their countries of origin.

Other rebels remain in this territory, as they came with their families and now reside in Syria, he pointed out.
